Suzanne P. ‘Suzie’ Young of Avondale Suzie peacefully passed away on August 6, 2015 after a short illness, surrounded by her family. Suzie was born in Hershey, Pa. on Feb. 23, 1947. She was a 1965 graduate of Kennett High School. She was preceeded in death by her parents, Alton and Doris Powell, one nephew and one niece. Suzie is survived by her daughters, Stephaie Young and her husband Ben of Avondale, and Alison Crooms and her husband Kevin of Avondale. Her pride and joy were her seven grandchildren, Alannah, Taylor, Josh, Isaiah, Micaiah, Zoe and Hunter; one brother David Powell and his wife Helen of Akron, Pa., and numerous nieces and nephews. Suzie worked at Earl’s Sub Shop for 14 yrs and enjoyed all the people she got to meet. Especially her Earl’s Girls. She also enjoyed her trips to Lancaster with her friends and family. But mostly enjoyed spending time with her family playing cards, watching movies, baking cookies, having sleepovers with her grandchildren. Suzie had a great sense of style and humor, she will be missed by many, especially her 2 muskateers.
